JOB SUMMARY: The Email (Sr.) Manager has ownership of the email marketing program by running end-to-end campaigns to the broker, consumer and homeowner audiences, for all divisions. This role oversees the program automation build and management and distributes internal facing communication from the CEO, departmental announcements and newsletters. This role manages digital customer service representatives who direct viable "leads" (customers) to divisions for further contact.
Email Programs
Develop, recommend and oversee the implementation of company-wide strategic email programs for defining and marketing our brand nationwide. The email programs will support the company's new and brand messaging and products/services.
  • Be the internal subject matter expert on email + push notification platform/experiences.
  • Use data and customer insights to build and execute email programs that engage customers with personalized messages for their entire lifecycle with KB Home.
  • Develop and test customer segmentation, content, and triggered based programs to increase conversion and customer lifetime value.
  • Identify opportunities for new and enhanced automation.
  • Collaborate with the Analytics team to build optimal systems that enhance personalization efforts on a mass scale.
  • Collaborate with agency teams on design, copy and email messaging; to ensure on-brand messaging.
Inbound Email Team Daily Operations
  • Oversee Digital Customer Service Representatives who support lead-generation activities via web-based tools and email.
  • Drive positive and timely facilitation of customer's cyber experience.
  • Ensure hand-off of hot leads to divisions.
Daily Email Marketing
  • Develop and execute on email contact strategies, and robust test matrix to optimize effectiveness.
  • Create targeted email campaigns using best practices in customer segmentation/clustering and the company's database of buyers and prospects.
  • Develop unique strategies focused on using e-mail to find new customers; converting web-sourced leads to buyers; cross-selling other products and services to previous buyers; and developing valuable ongoing customer communications to aid in overall customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Monitor and report on email performance.
Performance Management and Development
  • Provide management and oversight of assigned digital marketing employees, including communication of goals and objectives, delivering effective feedback, handling performance management, participating in recruiting/hiring, and communicating corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist in the training and on-going development of assigned personnel through proper coaching and frequent feedback.
  • Work with corporate marketing teams (web, social, and data) to improve processes and maintain brand execution.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, eCommerce, Business Management or a related discipline required
  • Master's Degree in related discipline preferred
  • Manager: 3-4 years of work experience in email marketing, including 1-2 years prior management background with direct reports
  • Sr. Manager: 4+ years of work experience in email marketing, including 2-3 years prior management background with direct reports
  • Prior experience in Real Estate industry preferred, ideally in Residential Homebuilding
  • Prior writing experience in a corporate setting preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Email marketing subject matter expert
  • Proficent, working knowledge of HTML coding and IBM/WCA platform
  • Strong eye for detail and accuracy in all marketing, particularly all that is outward-facing
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Tableau and Excel preferred
  • Base understanding of and interest in marketing/advertising and consumer behaviour
  • Strong management abilities, including strategic planning and goal attainment
  • A manager who grows the capabilities of their employees and is a strong team motivator
  • Strong project management skills
  • A demonstrated ability to work creatively and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and to respond immediately to issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to take complex concepts and communicate succinctly and accurately
