Position Description:

Our Client in Boston, MA is looking for a Software Engineer to join their team on a long term basis. Our Client's current need is to work on new enhancements/development for their legacy systems . It will include 20% of support (L-3 and above) during standard business hours and 80% on regular development and enhancement. Eventually this candidate will be working with rest of the team on a large-scale implementation of a cloud-based commercial off-the-shelf investment accounting package.

Day to day will include:
o Actively collaborates with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Development team to define and analyze user stories tracked in Jira
o Participates in code reviews; identifies defects and resolves collaboratively with development team via Bitbucket
o Provide support level activities for L-3 issues (20%)
o Collaborate with Agile Development team in new development (tech enablement) and enhancements to our legacy systems (80%).
o Executes and supports all levels of functional/system testing??
o Demonstrates solutions and articulates business value to LMI business partners at sprint showcases??
o Ability to balance improvement of legacy solutions with delivery of new business capabilities

Required Skills:

1. Expertise with MS SQL Server (Programming views, stored procedures, and functions)

2. Expertise with MS business intelligence tools and reporting solutions (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)

3. Experience with MS C#.NET

4. Experience with Crystal Reports

5. Experience with Python

6. Experience with scheduling Software (Active Batch)

7. Experience with business intelligence tools and reporting solutions (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)

8. Knowledge of database technologies: PostgreSQL or NoSQL

9. Experience with automated testing software (Selenium, Tosca)

10. Experience of Agile software development practices (story sizing, sprint planning, retrospectives), CI/CD pipeline, and DevOps

11. Knowledge of Cloud platform technologies (AWS, Azure)
