Job Summary: Lead an Assay Applications Team that will be responsible for evaluating, demonstrating feasibility and developing new Multiplier assay panels, in conjunction with industry and academic partners.

Essential Functions: Work with internal development team and external partners to establish Multiplier feasibility data. Support technology transfer to partners. Support transfer of assays to internal development teams. Develop assays for purposes of providing Laboratory Developed Tests (LDTs). Work with instrument development group to establish complete systems for the market. Identify potential clinical areas, targets and partners to expand the panel menu for the Multiplier family of systems. Assist in general business development efforts in gathering information from key potential customers regarding current and new opportunities for the Multiplier product menu. Assure that laboratory facilities are established and maintained to highest levels of safety and scientific quality. Write peer-reviewed papers, abstracts, white papers, etc. Attend and present at scientific conferences as necessary. Travel to partner sites and other Dynex R & D and corporate sites for collaboration and partner enablement as necessary. Manage departmental expenses and resources. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Up to 15 people.

. Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications / Education: Masters Degree or Ph.D. in relevant Life Science discipline preferred, bachelors degree required, and at least 10 years in a senior scientific management role in a business industry setting. Experience in reagent development and optimization, assay protocol optimization, developing and optimizing multiplexed immunoassays, application of manual assays to automated instrumentation. Familiarity with design control principles and the regulatory aspects of developing multiplexed immunoassays.

Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office and other product development and program management SW tools.

Work Environment: Headquarters office and laboratory site; travel to Dynex R & D and global sites as necessary, travel to partner and collaborator sites as necessary.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to meet National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH) Standards.
