Great Opportunity. The Flooring Operations Associate will be responsible for handling all aspects of warehouse management for flooring and serve as lead flooring warehouse associate. Responsibilities will include working closely with all internal/external customers and sales team, to effectively monitor flooring warehouse product, both presold and sundries inventory.

Job Functions:

Warehouse Management - Receiving

• Unloads product from freight carriers; assembles and prepares product for delivery to customers.

• Unloads product delivered to the warehouse by various vendors and inspects product for freight damage.

• Transfers product from staging area to storage location and marks product with identifying information.

• Reconciles packing list to receiving ticket and checks product for verification of accuracy and condition.

• Opens bales, crates, and other containers for inspection and processes of freight claims.

• Completes location detail and records on receiving document.

• Oversees equipment and tracks flooring equipment such as lift kits and specialty tools.

• Locate product in racks.

• Cut Carpet per cut sheets provided by the Flooring Project Manager.

• Tag the cut rolls and prepare for shipping.

• Bar-codes product using Snap Tracker.

• Performs cycle-counts as required to ensure integrity of product inventory.

• Performs various warehouse, service, and installation functions as needed.

Warehouse Management - Shipping

• Opens, inspects, and cleans product for delivery.

• Ensure installers have the required sundry items and document on the pick up sheets what is shipped

• Pulls product from rack location and reconciles product pulled from location for delivery.

• Notes damaged product and flags for repair.

• Deletes bar-coded product from the inventory using Snap tracker.

• Pulls carpet orders from racks and stages for delivery.

• Maintains customer owned product.

• Operates material handling equipment to include Pallet Jack, Stock picker, forklift, etc.

• Conducts cycle counts of new & used inventories.

• Prepares instructions for delivery and installation involving appropriate CI personnel.

• Performs occasional delivery of product to job site.

• Performs occasional job sites duties (e.g. straightforward measurements, site condition, etc.).
