Software Developer
The Enterprise Resource Organization (ERO) is looking for a highly motived individual to deliver client server solutions across all of Progressive's business areas. This person will be responsible for coding in a wide variety of technology supporting mobile, web, and backend systems. Solutions are developed in a fast paced agile methodology which requires exceptional collaboration skills in an open work environment.

The ideal candidate will need to learn quickly during project onboarding to gain working knowledge of Progressive applications and their frameworks.

Preferred Experience:
  • 3 years .Net C#
  • 3 years SQL Server Views and Stored Procedures
  • 3 years HTML, CSS (HTML5/CSS3 a plus)
  • 2 years XML/XSL/XSLT
  • 2 years .ASP MVC, WCF, and JavaScript
  • Experience with SSIS, Quality Center, MSTEST/RhinoMocks, and BizTalk is a plus

Please Note: This position is based in Colorado Springs, CO.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology, or related discipline, which could include Computer Science, Information Systems (IS) or Management Information Systems (MIS). In lieu of a degree, related work experience will be accepted.
  • Must have at least 5-7 years of related work experience designing/developing, programming, and supporting software programs/applications in client server or mainframe environments. This experience should reflect a strong working knowledge of software applications, software development life cycle, and computer code/programming languages.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with others and set a positive example.
  • The ability to translate technical information into understandable terms from a variety of audiences - both technical and non technical.
  • The ability to work in a team-oriented environment, and function as a technical resource.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to work on multiple projects and/or assignment simultaneously.
  • The ability to support department goals that align with current and future Company objectives and initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to find successful resolutions for moderate to complex issues, escalating those that require management involvement, when necessary.
  • Must be able to work under general supervision in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
